Visit https://ltgov.delaware.gov/formula/for info on Delaware’s free Infant Formula Distribution Program.

Lt. Governor Bethany Hall-Long, the Food Bank of Delaware and many state and community partners launched this program last year in response to the national infant formula shortage.

They secured canisters of Care A2+ infant formula to be provided to parents of children UP TO 12 MONTHS OF AGE throughout the State of Delaware for FREE.

As we enter the summer months (when budgets are tighter for many households), we want to raise awareness about the program to reach families in need.

Currently, more than 35 sites across all three counties in Delaware carry canisters of Care A2+ infant formula.

    Key Info:

    • Visit https://ltgov.delaware.gov/formula/ for more details.

    • Delaware families with an infant up to 12 months of age are eligible to pick up canisters. That means 1, 2, 3 or 10 cans if needed!

    • NO paperwork is required to pick up cans!

Income Chart: When reviewing the Food Bank of Delaware’s website, you might see an Income Chart. If your household income is above the limit for your household/family size, please don’t worry. A Senior Director at the Food Bank of Delaware emailed this to me: “A large portion of the product we distribute comes from USDA. In order to receive that product, USDA requires us to ask clients to self-certify that they meet income limits. The chart below is based upon gross income. Clients are not required to produce any verification of their income just to state whether or not they are above or below the limits. If a client does not fall under the income limit, we provide them with non-USDA product in order to ensure they still get the food they need. We never want anyone to get turned away regardless of circumstances.”
